Processing Fees

A processing fee is an elective charge to compensate for unreimbursed dealership costs and various additional consumer services.  For example:

  • Obtaining credit checks
  • Verifying personal checks
  • Securing power of attorney authorization
  • Tracking lost titles
  • Determining trade-in payoffs
  • Registering for consumer related services
  • Processing buyer guides, insurance forms, etc.
  • All notary fees
  • Completing mileage forms (new and traded vehicles)
